Fourth annual Schieffer Symposium features trailblazing journalists
The Schieffer School of Journalism will hold its fourth annual Schieffer Symposium Wednesday, April 2 at 6:30 p.m. in Ed Landreth Auditorium. Bob Schieffer, CBS Face the Nation moderator, CBS News chief Washington correspondent, and 1959 TCU graduate will again host this year's Symposium, titled "Is Campaign '08 the Right Stuff?" Panelists include Al Neuharth, founder of USA Today and chairman of the Freedom Forum; Andrea Mitchell, chief foreign affairs and lead political correspondent for NBC News and regular panelist on MSNBC's Hardball with Chris Matthews; Robert Novak, syndicated columnist for the Chicago Sun-Times and commentator for Fox News and Bloomberg News; and Roger Mudd, former correspondent for CBS News and NBC News and author of a new book titled The Place to Be: Washington, CBS and The Glory Days of Television News.
