Award-winning singer/actress, Fort Worth native and TCU grad Betty Buckley,
’68, is leading a communication and presentation workshop, April 8 and 22, in
TCU’s Neeley School of Business’s Tandy Center for Executive Leadership from 9
a.m. to 6 p.m. on both days. The workshop is being hosted by the Neeley School
of Business and the Schieffer School of Journalism.
“No matter what your career, to communicate at your best is absolutely vital,
whether it’s to one person, a group or an entire audience. But most people get
nervous, forgetful and sometimes just plain scared to speak up,” said Buckley.
“I’m going to teach the tools that have brought me success on the stage and
screen, because those same tools work in all communication.”
The communication and presentation workshop with Buckley will cover
communication in a variety of settings, from one-on-ones to presentations to
interviews. The first half of the workshop takes place Saturday, April 8, and
the last half takes place Saturday, April 22.
Buckley will provide personal coaching for those who choose that option for
the workshop, limited to 15 people. Cost of the workshop plus the personalized
coaching is $1,000 (limited to 15 people). Cost without coaching is $700.
Special rates apply to TCU faculty, staff and students.
