Ben Stevenson of Texas Ballet Theater will host "Conversations on Dance" April 13 on campus

The Department of Ballet & Modern Dance at TCU will present
"Conversations on Dance" with Ben Stevenson, artistic director of Texas
Ballet Theater, on Friday, April 13. The event, which is free and open
to the public, will be at 6:30 p.m. in Studio B of the Dance Bldg.
The program will include background on Stevenson’s life and work as
well as informal dialog between Stevenson and audience members.
Stevenson is the 2006-2007 Distinguished Guest Artist at TCU. A native
of Portsmouth, England, Stevenson received dance training in London and
has danced there with the Sadler's Wells Royal Ballet and with London
Festival Ballet. In 1976, he became artistic director of Houston Ballet
which he built into one of America's leading ballet companies. He is
currently in his fourth season with TBT which performs in both Fort
Worth and Dallas.
