Q: Why did you select TCU? A: I chose TCU for a multiple of reasons, but primarily due to the piano faculty. As a performance major, my top priority was to find excellent piano faculty who were both challenging and nurturing. My private piano professor and the other music professors at TCU have been nothing but that. The beautiful performance facilities, international connections, location in the D/FW hub of culture, and warm and nurturing atmosphere are all traits that made TCU unquestionably my top choice of schools.
Q: Why did you choose TCU’s piano music program? A: The piano program here at TCU is remarkable. Besides its world-renowned piano faculty, internationally acclaimed Piano Texas summer program, and many master class and performance opportunities available to pianists, the atmosphere at TCU among the peers is one of camaraderie, encouragement, and support.
Q: How has your experience been in the program? A: My experience here at TCU has been fantastic. Not only the piano faculty, but also the other excellent music faculty who have greatly enhanced my understanding and appreciation of music. Surrounded by an inspiring and supportive environment, I have been able to grow as a musician and to develop a sense of competence for my career in music.
Q: What are your plans after graduation? A: After graduation, I plan to study piano in graduate school and to further explore music in the contemporary culture. As a career, I plan to both perform and teach the piano and electric keyboard.
